SUMMARY
Our Boise Candlewood Suites location is seeking an Executive Housekeeping Manager to oversee the Housekeeping Department. It is the Manager's responsibility to ensure hotel cleanliness standards are met while maintaining consistency with the brand. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage and train housekeeping staff
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules
- Inspect rooms and common areas for cleanliness
- Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
- Coordinate with other departments for guest needs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle guest complaints and special requests
While the primary job function is to supervise the department the Supervisor MUST be willing to help with the following essential functions of Housekeeping.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of Housekeeping Department
1. Clean assigned suites according to system standards and Best Methods. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpet, washing dishes and dusting furniture.
2. Place and restock usable items in the suite including paper items, soap, towels, according to System Standards.
3. Clean exterior entry, hallways, and windows, according to System Standards.
4. Operate housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner.
5. Assist in Laundry Department as needed.
6. Maintain and restock housekeeping cart each day.
7. Know hotel emergency procedures.
8. Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys, or keys left by guests in room.
9. Follow the Lost and Found program administered by Hotel.
10. Accommodate guest special requests courteously.
11. Complete as required daily/weekly paperwork per Brand Standards
12. Carry out any reasonable request by management that I am capable of performing.
Qualifications
- Experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping as a Lead or Management Experience
- Knowledge of floor care techniques
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage housekeeping operations efficiently
- Must have fun and outgoing personality
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required
